Mayo separated herself as one of the best 2017 point guards at the camp in September. Her confidence as a ball handler and skill as a scorer make helped earn her a 4-star ranking as a result. Mayo proved that she could create plays with the bounce while also being able to drop jumpers both off the spot-up or pull-up. The next level in her progression, according ProspectsNation.com evaluator Brandon Clay is, "Mayo must learn the nuance of time and score and how that relates to her looking for her shot."
As it stands now, Mayo is in the conversation as one of the better combo-guards nationally.

Mayo is a fiery point guard who brings energy to her position. She fights on the defensive end for position and to make plays. Offensively she pushes the tempo and looks to get others involved. She has good bounce in her legs allowing her to create space with the ball in her hands. Learning to slow down at times at not force the issues will be key for Mayo to become the player that she is supposed to be long term.
