Marquee Weekend For South Carolina
In what will most likely be the biggest official visit stop of the fall calendar, South Carolina coach Dawn Staley and her staff hosted three of the top six players in the 2018 class on official visits last weekend.  No. 2 Aquira DeCosta, No. 3 Christyn Williams, and No. 6 Olivia Nelson-Ododa all spent the weekend on campus with the current national champions.  Joining the trio this weekend was Destanni Henderson, the No. 10 ranked player in the ELITE 150, who has already committed to the SEC program.  With A’ja Wilson and Bianca Cuevas-Moore both due to graduate at the end of the season, adding size and athleticism in the post and playmaking on the perimeter will be key for the Gamecocks. Having Henderson committed give South Carolina a substantial piece in their backcourt while any combination of the trio of uncommitted prospects, DeCosta, Williams, and Henderson would impact the roster considerably.
