Nimmo Picks Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech adds Four-Star 2019 Guard

Georgia Tech head coach MaChelle Joseph and her staff picked up their first commitment for the class of 2019 when four-star guard Fujika Nimmo of Haines City, Florida made a verbal pledge to play her college basketball at the ACC school. Nimmo, a 5-foot-10 guard, was on campus for an unofficial visit a couple of days before she pulled the trigger and committed.

For Georgia Tech, Nimmo’s addition gives them an offensive minded guard with good size and the ability to make shots from all over the floor.  Nimmo’s play during the July evaluation period began to write the narrative for her as an elite perimeter shooter.  While she is comfortable scoring off the move, Nimmo is lethal in catch and shoot situations and showed range beyond the three-point line.  With multiple summers left to continue to develop and improve, this is a reliable addition to coach Joseph and her staff as they now have an offensive contributor to build around for future recruiting classes.
