Fingall to Stanford

Fingall to Stanford

Stanford added its second verbal commitment for the class of 2016 this week when Nadia Fingall of Navarre, Fla., made a verbal pledge to attend the PAC-12 school.  Here is an extended evaluation on the 6-foot-4 post headed to Palo Alto, Calif.

From USA Basketball (May 2014)

Fingall is a young post player with size and athleticism that puts her in an elite category.  When she is playing with energy and physicality she can be a factor defensively and really do a lot to cause problems around the rim.  Offensively Fingall is more of a catch and finish big than a traditional back to the basket post or a face up post. She has the physical tools to develop more of an offensive game and if she can make some progress on this side of the ball it will greatly elevate her stock as a prospect.  Overall, we see Fingall as a defensive post stopper who should be able to make the occasional play around the rim. She is a high major type of talent.

In addition to Fingall, Stanford holds a verbal commitment from 5-6 point guard Anna Wilson of Seattle, Wash.  With a post in Fingal and a point guard in Wilson, Stanford will now focus their sights on prospects to solidify their wing positions.
