Matthews is a lanky guard with length and a solid shooter. She uses her both hands well when handling. Her size and skill set make her a prospect that should be tracked by a variety of schools in her region. Working on playing lower in a stance should be a priority in order to take her game up a level.
Matthews is a wing with a long, thin frame. She did a great job of slashing to the basket and finishing in traffic. Matthews also used her off hand to finish, which is impressive for a young prospect. She also proved that she has a nice jump shot from the perimeter. Her game will improve as she matures physically. Her physical frame is still developing but the tools appear to be there when that development finishes.
