Davis is a smaller, quicker guard who brings speed to the floor and proved to be a superb on-ball defender. She can pressure up the length of the floor, has a high IQ making reads, good lateral speed and intense energy. Offensively, Davis moves great without the basketball. She’s was very active and played with a high motor. She has an early release of her guide hand on her jumper which can lead to some inconsistencies, so developing more focus on her shooting from range will really add depth to her overall game. Moving forward, Jalen can gain more control offensively learning how to slow things down a little bit. This will allow her speed and athleticism to impact the game even more, if she adds more control and poise to her decision-making. Overall, Davis is an impressive athlete in the 2018 class that brings toughness and energy to the floor and can impact heavily defensively right now.
